In today’s day and age ethically sourced materials and products are vital for Earth’s survival. That is why we are writing this blog article, to draw attention on ethical manufacturing in the U.K bed industry.

Carbon Emissions

The U.K economy is a main culprit when looking at worldwide carbon emissions.

U.K emissions reach a total of 405.5 million tonnes (MtCO2e) per year. We feel it is necessary as a business to reduce our input to this figure. Sustaining the ecosystem is vital! Especially if we wish to fulfil our customer’s going into the future.

Sourcing products from FSC approved suppliers also lowers the overall carbon footprint. The wood used is sourced with the environment in mind.

Our business operates via the online space. We do not have any showrooms for our products which allows us to cut our carbon footprint even further. This is achieved as we do not have members of staff travelling to work and we are not using things like electricity to power our businesses locations.

FSC Approved

FSC may be a recognisable name, however for those who are not in the know we will explain them further.

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council. They promote responsible usage of the world’s forests and the materials that are sourced from them.

All timber that is used on our products are FSC verified. This gives both us and our customer base peace of mind as we are aware of where our materials come from and the nature in which they have been handled.
